好きなものから始める英語〜数学編

僕もそうなんですが、英語は重要だとわかっていてもなかなか勉強できない科目なんですよね。他にも勉強しなきゃいけない科目があったりして・・・だったら他の科目と一緒に勉強すればいいじゃんということで数学にまつわる英単語を集めてみました。数学好きじゃない人にはちょっと嫌になる記事かもしれませんね笑

関数f(x)：function

自然数n:a natural number

実数r:a real number

点p:a point

底辺b:base

高さh:height

素数p:a prime number

有理数：a rational number

最大公約数g:greatest common divisor

最小公倍数l:lowest common multiple

長さl:length

体積V:volume

円C：circle

半径r:radius

確率p:probability

標準偏差：standard deviation

対数log：a logarithm

微分d:differentiation

最後に面積体積公式で締めたいと思います。

円の面積πr^2

The area of a circle is equal to pi times the radius squared.

平行四辺形の面積b×h

The area of a parallelogram is equal to its base b times the height.

三角形の面積b×h/2

The area of a triangle is equal to its base b times the height h divided by two.

台形の面積(a＋b)×h/2

The area of a trapezoid is equal to the sum of both bases (a＋b) times the height h divided by two.

立方体の体積l^3

The volume of a cube is equal to the length of one of its asides cubed.

球の体積4πr^3/3

The volume of a sphere is equal to four times pi times the radius cubed divided by three.

一番好きな数学英単語はMI(mathematical induction)数学的帰納法ですかね
